More than a petting zoo

Why families staying near Disneyland Paris come here

Parrot World offers everything you would expect from a petting zoo or children's farm, plus a 14-hectare wildlife park dedicated to South America:

  • Hands-on time with friendly animals: dwarf goats, alpacas, pigs and sheep at the Children's Ranch, the park's mini-farm.
  • Keeper talks throughout the day: our keepers explain what the animals eat and how they live, at feeding times for jaguars, penguins, parrots and capybaras.
  • Easy with small children: pushchair-friendly paths, picnic areas, a giant treetop playground and on-site restaurants.
  • A perfect rest day between park days: 20 minutes by car or taxi from the Disneyland Paris hotels, with free parking.

The Children's Ranch

The mini-farm: goats, alpacas, pigs and sheep

At the heart of Parrot World, the Children's Ranch is our petting zoo area. Here, children will find alpacas, dwarf goats, pigs and sheep in a grassy paddock where they can approach them freely, watch them up close and enjoy that first moment of contact with an animal.

It is a gentle place for first encounters, ideal for toddlers and younger children. Before crossing the aviary or meeting the jaguars, children find something familiar here: the warmth of an animal they can touch and observe at eye level.

If you are looking for a petting farm near Disneyland Paris, the Children's Ranch is the perfect place to start your visit.

Junior Zookeeper with the coatis at Parrot World

Junior Zookeeper

A morning as a zookeeper for children aged 7 to 11

While most petting zoos stop at stroking the animals, Parrot World takes things a step further with a unique experience: "Junior Zookeeper” an immersive workshop designed for children ages 7 to 11 who spend a morning stepping into the shoes of a real animal caretaker.

What does the morning involve? Every Saturday and Sunday, accompanied by a professional keeper, each child spends two hours (10:30am to 12:30pm) caring for the animals at the Children's Ranch and the capybaras. €70 per child, day pass included.

• Preparing meals for the animals

• Feeding the alpacas, dwarf goats, coatis, parakeets, and capybaras

• Cleaning and maintaining the living areas

• Observing animal behavior and interacting directly with the animals

School Trips and Groups

A school trip near Disneyland Paris

Teachers and group leaders: Parrot World welcomes groups year-round with specialized educational programs designed to align with school curricula. Exploring biodiversity, raising awareness about endangered species, and learning about animal care—these themes naturally align with science and environmental education curricula. For schools visiting Paris or Disneyland Paris, including UK school trips, Parrot World offers a day out that is easy to reach and far richer than a traditional farm visit.

The park is a member of EAZA(European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) and AFdPZ(French Association of Zoological Parks), two organizations that guarantee high standards in animal welfare and educational programs.

FAQ

Is Parrot World a petting zoo?

Yes, and much more. The mini-farm (Children's Ranch) lets children meet friendly animals: alpacas, dwarf goats, pigs and sheep. The rest of the park is a 14-hectare wildlife park with a giant walk-through aviary, jaguars, giant otters, capybaras and penguins, with keeper talks throughout the day.

Is the Junior Zookeeper program suitable for all children?

The workshop is designed for children aged 7 to 11. No accompanying adult is required: children take part on their own, supervised by a professional keeper. It takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Booking in advance is recommended, as places are limited.

Can we come with a school or a group?

Yes. Parrot World offers a special program for schools and recreation centers, featuring group rates and educational programs tailored to different grade levels. Group reservations can be made directly with the park.

How is Parrot World different from a typical petting zoo?

A typical petting zoo focuses on farm animals. Parrot World adds to this a giant, one-hectare aviary with 350 free-flying birds, jaguars, Patagonian penguins, giant otters, and capybaras.

How do I get to Parrot World from Disneyland Paris?

Parrot World is a 20-minute drive from Disneyland Paris and the Val d'Europe hotels. Without a car, take a taxi or ride-hailing app from Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy or Val d'Europe station (about 20 minutes). Many families make it a rest day between two days at the Disney parks.

Where is Parrot World located in relation to Paris?

The park is in Crécy-la-Chapelle, Seine-et-Marne, a 40-minute drive east of central Paris and 20 minutes from Disneyland Paris. Free parking is available on site. If you arrive by Eurostar or TGV at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, Parrot World is just 20 minutes away.

Can we combine a visit to Parrot World with a meal at Panoramic?

Absolutely—it’s actually one of the most popular options among families. Le Panoramic restaurant is located 200 meters from Parrot World, on the same grounds as the Domaine de Crécy. Its panoramic terraces offer a direct view of the alpacas and Cameroonian sheep.
