Wed, Sat, Sun : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On June 29th, 2024, Zuma, a baby jaguar female was born at Parrot World and she is already visible to visitors. Come and meet her, you'll love her cute little face!
This is a particularly rare event in animal parks, and wonderful news for biodiversity. The jaguar is an endangered species in the wild, which is why it is monitored by the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) as part of an EAZA Ex-situ Programme (EEP).
Zuma, our little female is the fifth baby jaguar born in the world this year.
Emma, our female jaguar, gave birth in the privacy of her inner lodge after a three-month gestation period. She is now growing well, protected and well cared for by her mother. She is also being closely monitored by our animal team.
When you come to visit Zuma, please be patient! Take your time to find her. If she is not immediately visible, she may be taking a nap or hiding in the vegetation.

The jaguar population has fallen by 80% over the last fifteen years in the tropical forests of South America, due to deforestation and poaching.
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the jaguar is classified as a ‘near threatened’ species,’ explains Eric Vignot, Founder of Parrot World and the Parrot Wildlife Foundation. These jaguar births at Parrot World represent hope for the survival of the species.
